Do you like Food Network’s show Chopped? Have you ever wanted to compete in a similar cooking competition?

You’re in luck!

Several MSU students in the RISE program are collaborating with The School of Hospitality Business to plan a Chopped-style event here at MSU, featuring mystery ingredients from the Bailey GREENhouse and the Student Organic Farm. Finalists will be selected based on their interest in cooking and previous experience. Over the course of a year, you will improve your culinary skills with training from MSU’s own Chef Allan Sherwin, Professor of Culinary Management, and Chef John Brown, Culinary Coordinator of The School of Hospitality Business, before competing in a final kitchen battle in Fall 2018!

Please apply below with your resume and an essay (no more than a page) detailing your skills and what this competition would mean to you. If selected, you will go through a cooking contest to determine if you will move on as a finalist!
